eGreetings,

For some reason most of the web sites that I have been
visiting, the background is rendered as a medium gray
color. Yahoo.com, eBay.com and some Microsoft pages. If
the background is an image it loads properly. I believe
that it should be white.
I am using Internet Explorer 6 and Windows XP Home
Edition SP1 with all current patches.

This just started about 2 weeks ago.

I have tried clearing my Temp. Internet files folder.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you very much for your time and expertise.

Kind Regards,
Jeri

Jeri,

Go to IE tools, internet options, general tab, 'accessibility' button. Is
anything turned on?

Check this setting.

Click Start, point to Settings, and then Control Panel.
Double-click Internet Options.
On the General tab, click Accessibility.
Click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box.
Click OK, and then OK.

eGreetings,

You guys are great - Thank you for your speedy reply!

I followed your instructions and I don't have any of the
Accessibility Options checked.

It doesn't happen to every site just some sites - weird!

The only thing I did download recently is AVAST! Anti-
Virus software. It is free and PC World recommended it.
It really is great I would hate to have to change. I
would just like to know what is causing this. If I knew I
could probably live with it.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you again for your time and assistance!

Kind Regards,
Jeri

eGreetings,

I got it!

Go to Tools/Internet Options/General Tab.
Click COLORS. Tick "Use Windows Colors".

I am so happy.

It's the little things in life...

You guys are so terrific! I thank you deeply.

Kind Regards,
Jeri
