Website background picture not showing in FrontPage Preview?

I can create a background picture for a website in FrontPage, and the picture
looks fine in "design" but does not show at all in "Preview". Everything else
displays fine in "Preview", but not the background pciture. Perhaps I'm
missing something obvious?! Can anyone help please?

What happen when you use File Menu | Preview in Browser?

If the image is a JPG image, make sure it was saved with a RGB subformat and not a CMYK subformat,
etc.

You imported into your web prior to link to it and you are testing this directly on your local
machine, correct?

I have set the image as the background of the PAGE.
In "FILE | Preview in Browser" the website looks just the same (no
background image showing).

Did you first File | Import the image into a folder in your web before
inserting as a background image on the page?

From my hosting company; the path of the image is
"http://redirect.123-reg.co.uk/leaves/edge.gif". Since I am writing a PC
based page (and becasue I need to control the location of the image) I need
to store the image on my PC before I publish on their server.
If I use the full path above in my html scipt it all works fine, but of
course I should have a local (PC) copy before I publish.

Well on another attempt I did import it using FrontPage, Mouse on the page in
Design view, right click, Page properties, Formatting, Background Picture,
Browse. But the result was the same.
