Webcam not working with Windows Messenger

Hi there,

new to this - just set up Swann USB 2.0 Webcam and trying to have video
conversation with another user, however no success. Webcam seems to be
connected properly, however Windows Messenger's Audio&Video Tuning Wizard
sends "camera error" message : "The camera you selected is not working
properly, or may be in use by another program ....". Can anyone talk me
through this, or point me in the right direction ?

Many thanks,
Snowmark

Additional Info:

just discovered a patch to overcome the error message I mentioned in my post
below. However, the patch works for Logitech Quickcam Express only. Is anyone
aware of something similar for Swann Webcams ?

Greetings,

The "patch" in question simply overcomes an issue in the drivers for the QuickCam. As such,
you may want to try and obtain newer drivers for the Swann.
