Have a web site hosted on unix with fp 2000 extensions, using fp2002 client to edit site.

Suddenly, the site when loaded or refreshed has multiple folders with the same name. example instead o
two images folders, we have 2. Some folders do not display at all

I can access the site with FP98 and everything is fine and were it should be. What is going on

This server is a Sun Cobalt Raq 550, Running a Linux 2.4 kernel, with frontpage 2000 extensions for unix?

You usually need to have FP Extentions installed on the webserver of at least the same version or greater than the client that you are using to publish. Also, FP2002 may have some features that FP98 did not, that may not be supported by FP Extentions for Unix.

On your local machine using Start menu | Search for files, search for *.web files and delete them,
also clear the FP temp folder located within your Windows\Temp folder.

Not true, the FP2002 can work with FP98, FP2000 extensions, however you just can't use any of the
new features that requires the FP2002 extensions.

Tomas.
Thanks for the quick reply. I did some more research and
found out I should do just what you suggest. I deleted the
files in the FrontpageTempdir on my home pc, which is
running XP Pro & Frontpage 2002 and it worked. No more
duplicates. Unfortunately, my clients are running a WinME
machine, and a Win XP Home machine and I did the same on
thiers but it didn't work. I will try again to-morrow.

On the Windows XP Home machine, they can't seem to connect
to the server. Frontpage either freezes up and shuts down
or they get an access violation error message:

I will keep hunting.

Thanks for the help.
