After fixing my 100% system process CPU I encountered a new problem,
probably based on the fixing.
Web pages for users that have not admin rights on the PC the web pages don't
load correctly in IE6.
E.g. msn.com, only some background items load, if I hover over the spots
where I would expect the wait cursor shows up. If I move the mouse away it
is fine again.

Any ideas?

Hi Alex,

I wonder if you have installed Server Pack 4 for Windows 2000 when fixing
the "100%" CPU system process.

If it is the case, please take a lot at the KB article and I hope it will
be helpful.

Hello,

Yes, I did install the service pack 4.
Further testing: Even the Internet options dialog doesn't work for users
that don't have admin rights.
A screen filling dialog box will come up with no content.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for posting back!

Based on the sympton you mentioned, it looks similar to the one mentioned
in the KB article. Could you please take a look at URLMON.dll? Right click
this file, choose Properties from the context menu and find out the exact
version number and the date of URLMON.dll.

If the date is earlier and the version number is smaller than the one
mentioned in the below KB article
