web messenger pop-up

i cant rem. how to disable web messenger. i had to do a
restore, back to a day before i had disabled it.i just
cant rem. how to get to that option.

If you disable the messenger service, you are still at risk. What you need
is your firewall.

Hi Mike,

You need to turn of networking on your internet connection. You do this by
either disabling NetBIOS over TCP/IP or turn on the firewall.

To disable the Messenger Service:

Go to Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services. Double click the
Messenger Service and change Automatic to Disabled, then click the Stop
button.
