web links in IE7 opened from inbox have disabled addons, why?

When clicking on a web hyperlink in an incoming e-mail the web page displays
a banner "Internet Explorer is currently running with addons disabled" . How
do I enable these addons when the manage addons option in the tool drop down
menu is greyed out and the "tools>nternet options>programs>manage addons"
shows all addons enabled.

The first thing I would check is the Security Zone you have Outlook set to
use. TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> SECURITY tab.

Tools-> Trust Center-> section E-Mail Security

However, this is very unlikely to solve your issue for Outlook 2007. Sounds
more like there have been restrictions placed on your Internet Explorer.

Tks Roady, strange that is only occurs with links from within an email. If I
cut and paste directly into Explorer it works.

I'm having this same problem and don't know how to fix it. Any ideas?

Since you don't bother quoting any previous message, no one knows what "same
problem" means. Always provide plenty of details if you expect a solution.

suggested. I don't see any other answers! This is driving me crazy!

Where are you looking? What version of Outlook?

I have Outlook 2007.

I looked where Nikki said: "The first thing I would check is the Security

I don't have the Security tab she mentions.

Any help would be GREAT!!

Tools>Trust Center then.
