Why is my sent email appearing in my inbox in Outlook 2007?

Ted

I created an account to check my gmail account.

When I send a message FROM that gmail account, VIA Internet Explorer (ie.
from the web, and not Outlook 2007) to my friend Jason...

For some reason, Jason's email is in my inbox... FROM ME!

Why would my inbox have Jason's email? Shouldn't it be in Jason's inbox?

I can understand it being in my SENT email...but not my inbox.

Any advice is appreciated! :)

It is. Gmail gives you the function to see email you have sent from the web
in Outlook. How else would you be able to MOVE it to your Sent Items in
Outlook?

Gordon,

Thank you VERY MUCH for taking the time to answer. :)

Is there a setting in Gmail where I can find this to turn it on/off? Or
would I need to do this in Outlook?

Again, I appreciate your help!

You can't AFAIK. The alternative is to set up Gmail as an IMAP account
instead of POP..

Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about,
your OS, Service Pack level
and the FULL contents of any error message(s)

Hmm... I had heard horror stories about some IMAP... it not being dependable
and the like.

I reckon I can create a filter in Outlook to SEND any emails from my gmail
account (sent by me) to the Sent Items.
