Links to web pages in Word documents are not working when I convert docs to
pdf. When the links are spelled out in full "www.msn.com" - no problem, but
when I hyperlink words such as, say, "Microsoft" to any webpage, the link is
gone. They look like links, nice, blue and underlined. But they're not. Any
ideas?

I'm using Word 2003, Adobe Reader 7.0.9 and Windows XP. The hyperlinked
words DO work in Word. I have tried pdf generators such as PDF995 and Click
to Convert II printer drivers. (Free/test versions.) No luck. Help. HELP!
Please!

That may be setting that you need to change in Adobe Acrobat. If you don't
have a user license, you might be S.O.L.

Thanks Brad. It would appear that I'm Sh*t Out of Luck indeed. Have now also
tried licenced Adobe Reader 8.0 and received tech support reply from Convert
II . Same problem. Looks like embedded links will NOT be carried from doc to
pdf - only true URLs (http://www.somewhere.com). A right bugger, that is.
