has anyone used or I guess- even heard of these guys--->

the price is certainly right, but if appearances are anything to go
by, I can't say the web site impresses me too much, though I know you
shouldn't "judge a book by it's cover" but when you come across
something like this it makes me wonder ~ is it for real or the
possibility of a scam?
I'm searching for a good hosting site - and pretty well narrowed it
down to www.doteasy.com - or www.phoenixrising-web.com/
and leaning more n more toward "phoenix" - though I did come across a
posting 'somewhere' where someone said they'd never go back to them
ever again.. but didnt say why.
Then just came across this artisanpath - but couldnt spot any posting
in a newsgroup, for any further info...

I wonder how long they'll be in business that way? You probably have to pay 9 years up front. My guess is they are re-sellers.

Go with someone that has been recommended to you by a happy client...that's my philosophy.

recently been using the windows servers with:
http://arendkay.net and he's been totally stand-up.

IMHO if you're going to use FrontPage (and especially it's components) you
should go on a windows server with properly configured and maintained
extensions.

Based entirely on HTTP header information, the three
services you mention provide this support:

hosting.artisanpath.com Unix Apache
www.doteasy.com Windows
www.phoenixrising-web.com Windows ASP.NET

Based only on this, phoenixrising-web seems the most
Windows-oriented and up-to-date. However, I have no
personal experience with any of them.

You may want to browse the following Web page. Near the
end, it lists a number of helful resources for finding a
good host.

Quality replies ~ thanks,
and the suggested sites to visit are appreciated, I'll keep a bookmark
of the "Arendkay" site, :) be adding it to my list of likely hosts!
and being only 3 or 4 in the list - that in itself makes it a
contender!

many thanks.
(( When it's finally decided, I'll be able to report back on the site
chosen, ease of sign-up, ease of uploading etc, and last of all -
access to the site once published - hopefully a nice clean quick load
into explorer. Though there may well be some tweaking to do to should
any pages prove to be a bit on the big side! gotta a couple or 3 pages
with flash content! ))

Alentus.com is good...incredible, fast, knowledgable service.
