web based applications

I have been developing Access applications for several years. Now the powers
that be have decided they want to move into "web based applications." I
haven't a clue where to start. Anybody have any recommendations for basic,
entry level how-to books?

If you're going to use ASP.NET, the ASP.NET Step-by-Step book from Microsoft
Press is a good starting point.
