web accelerator not loading on boot up

I have a web accelerator furnished by my server. When I boot up, sometimes
the icon will appear in my task tray at the bottom and sometimes not. When
it doesn't I have to re-install through the set up program and then it will
work' This is the message that I got once. Cannot find file C:\Progra~\Web
Accelerator\unwise.exe (or one of it's componants). Check to ensure the path
and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. I
have checked everywhere on the net and cannot find anything about this. Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks. I am running windows xp sp2 on a Dell
4300s computer.

I'm assuming that you mean that you have a dialup "accelerator" program
provided by your Internet Service Provider. If this is not what you
mean, then please post back with a better description of what you have.

These "accelerator" programs don't really speed up your Internet access;
they give the illusion that your connection is faster by compressing
images. You are actually downloading less data which is why things seem
faster.

That said, you should contact your ISP about your problems with this
program.

Thanks, Malke! Yes I do have dial up and I will contact my isp again. My
accelerator is 1 Dial Accelerator and came with my isp sign up free so not
really out anything. Thanks

I can't say that I've heard of that one, but issues with it do rest with
whoever wrote it/is offering it - your ISP.
