weatherbug takes over your homepage when you access the
join weatherbug page. Even when you don't complete the
registration, form that point on you home page is MySearch
by Weatherbut and no matter what you do you can't get your
orginial page back. There is a link to a SO CALLED fix by
weatherbug that didn't work for me. does anyone else know
what to do to get rid of my problem?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
