you are so full of crap you might as well run for President. If people
don't want to use Vista then can return it for a refund. How is that
ripping off people you idiot? I think you need to stop drinking.

Now go out and steal a car.

Most people get their copies of Windows from an OEM as part of a
computer. Have you tried to return an major OEM copy of Windows to MS?

Are you really this stupid ?

The potential release date for the next client OS after Vista (currently
referred to as Windows 7) is entirely in line with the well stated timelines
for Windows client OS release schedules.
No one is trying to"trash" Vista and release another OS.
What you and your fellow ....... seem to forget is that the exception to the
normal cycle was Windows Vista with a slightly longer development cycle.
Just look at the previous OS release dates and a later 2009 to 2010 release
for Windows "7" is completely acceptable and inline with plans. IN fact
you are getting your proverbial panties in a bunch only because Microsoft
are right back on track for a new client OS every 3 years (approx). ( You
may not remember that after Windows 2000 was release it was only a short
year and eight months to the arrival of Windows XP. I was around then ( and
long before that too) and remember all the nay sayers just like now whining
and bitching about Vista making all the same comments about XP.)
Face facts, as of right now Vista is already one and half years old since it
was released. Operating system development moves pretty fast maybe you
should get out of the slow lane.

Windows 1.0 - November 1985
Windows 2.0 - December 1987
Windows 3.0 - May 1990
Windows 3.1 - April 1992
Windows NT 3.1 - July 1993
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 - February 1994
Widnows NT 3.5 - September 1994
Windows NT 3.51 - May1995
Windows 95 - August 1995
Windows NT 4.0 - August 1996
Windows 95 OSR2 - October 1996
Windows 98 - June 1998
Windows 98SE- May 1999
Windows 2000- February 2000
Windows Me - July 2000
Windows XP - October 2001
Windows Server 2003 - April 2003
Windows XP 64-bit - 2003
Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs - July 2006
Windows Vista (Business Customers) - November 2006
Windows Vista (Retail Customers) - January 2007

Then he should just return the computer as it's obvious he's too stupid to
own one.

I wasn't thinking about OEM versions. If you have issues with the OEM
version call the vendor and they should (in theory) help with problems and
straighten them out.

Thank GOD you are here to set the record straight.

Really?

So you go to a hospital, see folks in pain and suffering, and then assume
everyone is in pain and suffering the same way?
Vista 64 bit, working very well for me.

Windows XP - October 2001
Windows XP SP2 - August 2004 (worthy of mention as it was a major update and
introduced lots of app compat issues for vendors to resolve due ot the
hightened securoity improvements back ported from the Server 2003 dev tree)
{Also don't forget there were special purpose Home OEM versions such as the
Media Center Edition 2003,2004,2005}
Windows Vista (Retail Customers) - January 2007

As I said the only anomaly was the overly long Vista dev cycle - home users
were upgrading about every 2 years until the XP to Vista gap.
So again Jan 2007 to anytime 2009 would be fine for home users too.

Congratulations Frank! You've posted the same bullshit 10,000 times
now. To your unused and utterly undeveloped pea sized brain anyone
that has a Vista problem can't install Vista properly. That is your
standard response to everything. What a total klutz you always are.

BTW, when will you admit it was YOU that long ago told you needed to
call Microsoft and beg for help because you didn't know how to get
your copy of Vista working correctly.

But thanks. I think your timeline above is more relevant to this group,
though I would quibble over XP SP2, But a decent case could be made for
XP MCE 2005.
