System just keeps rebooting. Can't start in "safe" mode
or interrupt in any way. I can see a screen come up
before this screen but I can't stop it. The windows XP
logo screen comes up for about 4 passes on the moving bar
then show a screen that I can't stop or read and then the
Apology screen.
I've used last known good start but that does not help???

A couple of ways you could try and solve your problem:

1. Replacing the System file:

"Using Recovery Console"

2. A 'Repair Install"
Boot from your XP CD, press Enter at the first screen, accept the License, then select the XP installation that you want to repair and press 'R'.
