Ok I need a bit of help with WCG..
When tasks are finished do they automatically upload to WCG or do I need to upload them..? If I do, how do I go about doing this..I have one finished and one about to finish....

If you have an "always open", normal broadband connection... don't worry about it. You will see your uploaded stuff on WCG pages... with a delay.

Here's how you can ease your mind. In BOINC client, open the "Messages" tab. Lines like these...

... mean "your" work has been uploaded. Still not convinced? Open the "Transfers" tab. If it's empty, there is no work "left hanging" on your computer.

Thanks Urmas.....My Broadband is always open...BT unlimited, so might aswell take advantage of it....

Hmmm...maybe, although I can't see in the messages one when it went like you can in Urmas example.

When a work unit finishes and your connected to the internet it should get uploaded immediately with a subsequent upload message in the 'Messages' tab and it will then show in 'Tasks' screen as 'Ready to report'.

A while later (and it can be several hours) when BOINC communicates to get more work etc it will then disappear as it sends the report part - it is a 2 part process.

If you want to report the second part early you can always go to the 'Projects' tab and click 'update' - but its not neccessary.

Can you give us a screenshot of your Tasks screen?
