How long is a peice of sting?
Depends how long the other 3 people take to return their results ... 24-72 on average.

Welcome to Boinc ... I still don't like that program.

mucks give a big sigh ...

There is one WU sent to four people ... once all four are returned the high & low score is ignored ... the two scores are averaged ... that avarege is the points you all get.

oh, and the points are caculated differently for Boinc & UD ... I ain't going to try to explain that one.

Boinc is not officially supported by WCG

No worry ... me is just getting a little fed-up with this points malarkey ... some of the information on WCG is a little hard to find, especially the Boinc stuff.

We are all trying to squeeze as much as we can out of our systems.

Tell me about it, i think the WCG Forum needs a big upgrade and re-shuffle.

But the links Ady posted in the other thread are well worth reading.

When i get home i may try the optimized version for my cpu...... See if i can squeeze yet more out of it. Then again i may wait for everything to settle down a bit then go for it.
