Just got a 3.8GHz P4 added to the team, aswell as another Sempron 3000+

Was looking at my BOINC stats... it was returning about 1,200 points a day :-O Back on it goes!

Points dropped

I've noticed since I added the Laptop and extra PC my avergae points per hour has dropped from 34 to 30. Any idea why?

because your Lapto probably isn't as powerful... and it will bring the average per hour down, but make the total rise?

Yup, thats right - your PC might be doing 34 units per work hour, your laptop 26 units per hour - therefore your average will be 30 units per work hour

Your overall units will almost double though

Yeah my lappy aint tht good. Its taking 18hours per crunch. My main is doin 6 or 7 times tht while my other PC is doin abotu 4 or 5. Mite be best for me to turn lappy off then

Anyone see how fast 'Clubic' are going up the leaderboard? Funny thing is though, most of them got less than 10.000 points. If i was on their team i'd be in 4th place!

Problem is there's well over 600 of them!

Fair play to them for the average of 200,000 points a day though!

I still don't know ... so far the only benefits I have seen are in Ady's points ... you and MJW are churning out just as many points as before ... the 'enhancements' to MJW do not seem to have made a scrap of difference, but I'll leave it as is for now.

The only ones that seem to benefit are dual-core CPUs ... ChrisP did not leave his running long enough to see if anything really changed.

I can't tell you from the returns who changed to Boinc or not ... oh, well, apart from Ady that is.

I see no reason to change to Boinc for Windows on a single run PC
