WAVS open with sound recorder not media player

when I try and open a wav (by clicking) it tries to open
it in sound recorder. I realise I can open them in media
player by right clicking and choosing media player as an
option, but this is time consuming.
Any advice welcome

Rightclick the song/MP3 in Windows Explorer and click
Open With and then click Choose Program. Tick the box
for Always use Selected program , etc... and hold down
the shift key and click OK, this will change all
files/MP3s listed to the program you want to use.
