Wave file input

My computer recently crashed and the operating system
(XP) had to be reinstalled. Now when I listen to a
streaming station using Windows Media Player and want to
record something using Creative Recorder, the Wave input
signal doesn't exist, and the only way I can do the
recording is via the Microphone input, which is not
acceptable. Any idea how I can get the Wave input back?

Double click on the loudspeaker icon in the systray > Options > Recording >
OK > select (check) mp3/wave > OK and away you go.
