Is it save to delete Compressed folders which are in the
archives bin. If the original folders are still in the
program files folder. This is the result of an experiment
that went wrong. I was trying to save disk space. But
instead used more. Iwould like to reclaim it if possible
Thanks ray. PS system file might be involved

Not sure, two things you can try. First, try using System Restore to take
you back to a time before the "experiment." Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

If that doesn't remove them, you might try copying them to some other media,
CD-RW for example, then delete them. If you have no problems after a week
or so, you are probably safe.

amount of free disk space. This helps me to learn. Hope
you will look at my new post about mapisvc32.exe not
