Warped - DVD Audio

I have a system (drivers are all current) that has an audio problem whenever
I play DVD's.

The best way to describe it is that the audio sounds warped, and
ever-so-slightly choppy.

Are there any "tweaks" that might remedy this problem.

It's to the point that I cannot watch DVD's any longer.

No changes.

Clean install 6 weeks ago.

I use adaware, firewall, Norton Anti-Virus

Clean system

Something changed, somewhere.

Try System Restore to Date/Time before issue started:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore

Otherwise reinstall the drivers.
