Warning/Error dialogue boxes clear to fast

I've seen this problem on XP and 2K. Sometimes when
windows generates an error/warning/info dialogue box, it
clears or closes before I can read it. Anybody seen this
or knows how to fix it?

Hi,

Start/run eventvwr.msc, check the system and application logs for the error
message. If it flashed on-screen, then it was likely logged.
