Ever try carrying a desktop machine in a briefcase? If you need a
computer to travel, a laptop does the job. A desktop won't. On the
other hand, you can use a laptop in place of a desktop machine quite easily.
That is probably the reason that sales of laptops have exceeded the
sales of desktops this year.

Desktop are for home and notebooks for the road and your home network
let's them work together.
