In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options > Security.
Select the "Custom Level." Set the ActiveX security settings as
desired. Be advised, however, that loosening these security settings
will also render you more vulnerable to attacks from malicious web sites.

Hi,

It's a security precaution, you are set to prompt for these controls under
Internet Options, check the settings for the internet zone. You can change
the behavior if you like, but it's not recommended.

Sounds like a few websites I'd not care to visit.

I was under the impression that this was in one of the bucket Windows Update
releases a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly, it had to do with someone
trying to sue Microsoft, but they got round it by introducing this 'Click it
if you want to use the active X control'. The update does nothing extra to
protect you, it just overcomes the law suit.
