Want to record songs from TOSLink IN source on 2nd sound card

Have onboard sound card for CD and DVD sounds and system sounds. 2nd card is
to provide SPDIF in and output. Want to record songs input to this card from
TOSLink connector but am now clueless where to go from here. The purpose is
to get them on disc so I can import them to iPod for my car.

You basically require audio recording software. The internet is your oyster.
