Is there an application that will enable me to do this?

Win XP.

You can get the live stream in Real Audio and Windows Media Player
formats. I strongly suggest that you do not install Real Player on your
computer because of severe, virtually irreversable damage to the
operating system that I've found. Use the Real Alternative codec package
bundled with Media Player Classic; then use a second utility that'll
allow you to store the sound in a friendly format _after_ it's been
converted to pure audio by the above-named combination. I'm talking
about your needing three items to pull this off.

You could listen to the Windows Media stream (but not the Real
Media one) with "Screamer Radio" -- http://www.screamer-radio.com/
-- which has a built-in recorder to capture the streams.

(It's a bit fiddly to insert your own favorites in Screamer -- it's
not graphical, so you have to type things into the favorites file -
- but it works very well and the recording is a one-button push.)

FWIW, in the *payware* field, I think Total Recorder remans the
best stream-capture tool around.

Hi Bro!

I record the Rush Limbaugh show (Sorry Bro, but I just HAD to write
that!!!) with a wonderful little freeware program called Zinf from
http://www.zinf.org/

Here is the tagline from the website:
"The Zinf audio player is a simple, but powerful audio player for Linux
and Win32. It supports MP3, Ogg/Vorbis, WAV and Audio CD playback,
SHOUTcast/Icecast HTTP streaming, RTP streaming, a powerful music
browser, theme support and a download manager.

Zinf http://www.zinf.org/download.php

Allow Zinf to load into the default folder C:\Program Files\Zinf. It
will create and use the Program Files\Zinf folder for Backups without
your approval anyway. Once active, Zinf will ask to reclaim file
associations of media types that are played by other players. I click
okay because Zinf can record what it plays so I want it to play
everything. You can also use the Options panel to tell Zinf to save
your recordings to any folder that you choose.

Happy recording!

The audio recorders already suggested are a direct solution.
Two other ways to get these programs are by newsgroup or podcast:
