Want to capture still pic from video

Hi, I would like to capture still photos from videos. I have the videos
captured in my PC already. I have Windows Movie Maker, Olympus Master 2, and
Kodak Easy Share software on the PC. I also have Corel Photo Album 6
available. Does anyone know how to do this with any of these software
packages? I have searched them and the help files and I find nothing. Is
there some other software available which can do this? Would photo story 3
work? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

with Movie Maker, import a video clip.... preview it in the monitor.... use
the snapshot icon under the monitor, at the right... to make jpg files from
the frame you're currently at in the monitor.

It's quite simple to do screen caps with
Movie Maker. At the bottom of the view
screen you will see an icon that looks like
a camera.

Advance to the frame you want and click
the icon (known as the "Take Picture" button)...
you will be prompted to save the screen cap.

No, PhotoStory does not have a capture
option. Since it only works with still images...
you already have them anyway so it's not
required.

Frame capture is the standard approach, and it will yield a video
resolution picture, usually with discernable noise content.

What would be very useful is a "stacking" video capture tool
that, when possible, captured several (2-15) essentially similar
frames, upsampled them, precision aligned them by content, and
then added them--resulting in both improved resolution and
much reduced noise.

I know of one relatively affordable tool for doing this, and
it provides images of 4x the resolution of the video. It is
called "Topaz Moment" and is available with a 30-day free trial.
(I have no association with them. ;-)

I notice you have Kodak EasyShare installed.

My Kodak camera creates movies in *.MOV format which cannot be imported to WMM
as is.

You may have to convert them if that's the case with your Kodak camera.
