Want Task Manager but get Local Area Connections

When I hit Ctl-Alt-Delete to ge the task manager window up I have been
getting the Local Area connection screen instead. It will not let me close it
either. At one time it did work. When I go through RUN and taskmanager I
still get the Local Area Connection screen. Is this a virus? spyware?
malware? issue.Thanks

start/run, type:
compmgmt.msc

Is your console saved as a "computer management(Local) " setting, or some
other LAN member?
