Walmart Purchase Won't Play

I have seen a couple versions of this question, but no answers.

I am using WMP 11 and purchased one song as a "test" from WalMart through
Windows Media Player. My machine is new and "loaded" and is not the problem.
I am unable to play (open the file) the song from WalMart in Windows Media
Player, WinDVD, or Adobe Audition. The file is in my hard drive as a .wma
file and not corrupted. The file cannot be opend by the above applications
and I get a message from Windows saying an "operating system component
encounters a problem but does not communicate the nature of the problem to
the player".

Any leads appreciated....

I have contacted Walmart & they said it's not their issue. My problem is I
obtain the licensce but Walmart is not transferring the certificate. Without
the certificate; songs will not sync to MP3 player. I can download them to
my library & I can burn cd's & sync those songs. I agree; I think this is a
Walmart issue.

The problem is due to DRM (Digital Rights Management). You already have
the song on your harddrive, now use Windows Media Player's Sync feature
and sync the song to an external drive such as a thumbdrive or iPod, etc.
Then Rip it back to your harddrive and it should play. If you do not have
an external device, copy the song to a CD-R then try to Rip it back to your
harddrive. Using the Rip feature will automatically Rip it to your My Music
directory on the harddrive. Do not use the Burn feature. Good luck :~)
