QUESTION:

How can I make wallpaper position permanant? tile or center or stretch, so
that when I change the wallpaper, I won't have to go into display settings.
Running win xp pro.
SOLUTION:
==========
By editing the Registry you can add a third option: to position the
wallpaper anywhere on your screen by specifying values for the X and Y
coordinates.
Run Regedit.exe and go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Create 2 new Strings and call them "WallpaperOriginX" and respectively
"WallpaperOriginY" (don't type the quotes). Give these entries the desired
values to position your bitmap off the center on your Desktop.
Example:
"WallpaperOriginX"="1"
"WallpaperOriginY"="1"
NOTE: The repositioned wallpaper must be smaller than your desktop size
