Wallpaper folder question

When I go to Display Properties/Desktop, I get random image files from all
over the hard drive. In the past, seems to me it only showed images in
the Windows root directory. I'm wondering if this resulted from recent
security updates.

How to I point this Background to one particular folder?? I've seen a lot of
recent questions on this in various newsgroups, and have searched MS
website, but so far haven't found a real answer.

Any help appreciated.

It's not random. It's from Win 3.1 locations, IE4 Desktop Update locations
(and IE4 has a location too), and Win 98 locations.

For My Pictures it hides from the list if you have more than about 100 files
in the folder structure.

All bmp, jpg, gif, jpe, dib, png and htm files located in these folders:

%Systemroot%

%Systemroot%\Web\Wallpaper

%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures

%ProgramFiles%\Plus!\Themes

Hope this helps. Let us know.
