Wake Up on Lan with A7M266 and 3C905C-TX

Hi all

Did anybody ever successfully try Wake Up on Lan with the Asus A7M266
mainboard and a 3Com 3C905C-TX NIC? I've this combination and it
doesn't work. I tried it with another NIC of this series on a P3B-F -
not working either :-(
I'm using ether-wake which works fine for my notebook (Dell Latitude
D600).

What did I check so far:
- WOL is enabled in BIOS
- WOL cable is connected
- NIC has link when PC is off
- MAC Address used for ether-wake is correct

PS: Power supply is an Enermax EG301P-VEG (300W).

Is there an ACPI/APM component to this problem ? How the
system is shut down by the OS, determines whether it can be
awakened by a magic packet.

One post in Google says:

"If the machines are in standby, you can configure the LAN
Adapter to "Allow this device to bring the computer out
of standby". "
