W32Time Service

I have a question. I am not sure this is the place to post it though.
I would like to do some testing with the w32time service. I would like
to do the testing on a XP machine. My issue is that I belong to a
domain. And the PDC is not running the w32time service as a client or
server. Can I still sync my clock on the XP machine to an external
(time.microsoft.com) time source even though I belong to the domain?
Any help would be great. Thanks!

Probably not unless you can log on locally. If you need to do this for your
work, then talk to your IT Dept.

I can log on locally as an administrator. I am still getting the
error:

c:\>w32tm /resync
Sending resync command to local computer...
The computer did not resync because no time data was available.

Any idea why this could be happening. This is what is in my registry:

and servers in the network. If this service is stopped, date and time
synchronization will be unavailable. If this service is disabled, any

You will need to talk to your IT Dept. They probably have ports closed on
the corporate firewall.
