W32Time error in event viewer

S

Sandy J

My system: Microsoft Windows XP professional with service pack 3
1.5 GB Ram
all updates installed regularly.

I have been getting this message in event viewer:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: W32Time
Event Category: None
Event ID: 36
Date: 12/3/2008
Time: 8:27:41 PM
User: N/A
Computer: NONE-E3YWIA8A8J
Description:
The time service has not been able to synchronize the system time for 49152
seconds because none of the time providers has been able to provide a usable
time stamp. The system clock is unsynchronized.

Note: When I check the date and time properties in the clock I see it is
scheduled to update every 7 days... but 49152 seconds is approx 13 hours.
I looked for a way to change the scheduled update for the clock to update
every 13 hours but can't find any way to do that.
Is this a problem? I really don't notice the time drifting off if I let it
update every 7 days but that warning bothers me.

I already have the first 3 in the drop down box... If I make this change
will all of those time servers appear in the drop down box after I do this?
I will give it a try.
Thanks
Sandy

usable
time stamp. The system clock is unsynchronized.

Note: When I check the date and time properties in the clock I see it is

Is this a problem? I really don't notice the time drifting off if I let
