W2K3 PPTP with same IP addresses

Hi,

I have the following situation. I would like my home uses to connect to the
office via VPN. My home users have the internal IP address range of
192.168.0.X/24
and my office has the address range of 192.168.x.x/16. I know that you
cannot have the exaxt same IP address range so I have seperated the two by
their subnet mask. Will this approach work or will I have to use a 192.168
and 10.10
I am using W2K3 and PPTP

Thanking You

in the most cases, if they are in the different classes, you should be able to establish the VPN. However, the routing table may be confused if both sites have the same IP. For example, if each site has one computer using 192.168.0.254, the route will send the packets to the local one while you want to access the remote one.

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.
