W2K Server not bootable/recognized

I had Windows NT installed on one drive, and Windows 2000
Server installed on another drive (totally separate hard
drive) on the same PC, so I could always choose if to
start the PC with the NT or W2K Server. I formatted the
drive with the NT on it because I needed the space and I
never use the NT. However my W2k Server is no longer
recognized. So I installed Windows 2000 Professional (in
the same location where my NT used to be), and I can see
that the W2K Server is there and all my other drives are
just fine. How can I get the drive with the Windows 2000
Server to be recognized/rebootable again? Thanks.

Need some details here. When you had the NT/ 2000 scenario, were you drive
swapping or were you using the boot loader to select the OS to start? Which
drive is drive0? How many drives and what partitions are the OS's now
installed on?

Originally I was using the boot loader to select the OS
that will start. Now the only options are get are either
W2K Professional (the newly installed OS on the formatted
C drive), and "Unidentified operating system on drive c"
(instead of W2K Server, which is installed on D).
I have 2 drives:
Drive 0: 4.04 GB. Letter drives: C & F. W2K Pro is on C.
Drive 1: 18.64 GB. Letter drives: D & G.
Does this help? Thanks!

What does boot.ini look like? It should probably read as follows;

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Pro" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Serv" /fastdetect

Fantastic! As soon as I modified my [boot.ini] it worked
like a charm. Thanks!

Was the MS-W2K partition showing up as "C:\" when yo
booted to MS-W2K???
You have most likely deleted the Dual-Boot Partition and
therefore changed the Drive Letter Designation. You could
try taking out the original drive and setting the MS-W2K
Drive as the Master. Yo may need to re-install the MS-W2K
NOS but yo would not lose anything except your UpDates and
Service Packs.
