w2k server crashing

Barry

I have a mirror server with w2k installed, the system
keeps crashing after only a few minutes. I do not have the
w2k software on disk, but I do have Win2003. My hardware
checks out OK, so it appears to be an operating system
issue.

Has anybody any ideas how I can re/install, given the
constraints above, the operating system without effecting
the configuration and settings and current application
programs ?

What does crashing mean? The system hangs? The system Blue Screens? How do
you know the hardware is good? Any errors in the event log? You can
certainly upgrade to Win2k3 if you have the correct versions between the 2
OS's but this could be an easy fix and upgrading to Win2k3 may not fix
anything. The upgrade will keep any settings if everything is compatible.

Thanks for your response.

The system hangs within seconds of boot up, even in safe
mode, the hardware is good. My concern is that, this is a
mirror server which is identical to my main server. In
other words if the main server crashes I just switch over
to the mirror server and my system will continue with the
same functionality.

How do I fix the problem so that all the functional and
non functional aspects remain identical.
