w2k server admin account is locked out

I have a stand alone w2k server with the administrator account expired and
locked out. I have tried to logon to the server locally and I am prompted to
change the password. I enter a new password and get an error that the
password can not be changed because the account is locked out. I know the old
password but can not log in. Does anyone know a way around this problem or
how to unlock the admin account. THANKS.

There are two ways to deal with this problem:

a) The easy way: Log on under the alternative admin account that
you wisely set up when configuring the server, then re-enable the
main admin account.

b) The hard way: Boot the machine with a boot disk from here:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html
then set the password to a blank.
