I experiencing this weird problem that I'm trying to solve
with no luck at all. I have a Domain Controller (Windows
2000 Server runnin Active Directory Service, DNS, NAT and
Exchange 5.5 all in one box), Long time ago I upgraded one
of our Windows NT 4.0 workstation to Windows 2000
Profesional with no problem during the upgrade process and
also joining the domain. But recently I found out that I
cannot print on our network printer and could not browse
the domain, it seems that it's been disconnected from the
network and when I'm trying to re-connect to the network
or re-join the domain there is an error stating ("that my
computer could not be joined to the domain because the ff:
error has occured". "The network name cannot be found").
I tried reconfiguring the DNS but still no luck.

Note: I'm using a private DNS server and using a static IP
configuration for the workstation that cannot be added to
the domain.

I hope somebody can help me with my problem

How many nics in the server? Why aren't you running DHCP on it? It really is
a nobrainer and will push all the necessary settings to your clients (DNS,
gateway, WINS).
Flip that W2K into a workgroup, reboot, rejoin it.

I can't configure with DHCP bec. one of our application
requires a static IP configuration. I already did the one
that you e-mailed me but with no luck.

Any other suggestion. Anyway Thank's for your reply.

Post the ipconfig/all from the server and post one from a client.

What kind of an application is this that it needs static IP's?

Check the network card configuration is not set to hardware default.
