w2k pro + XP dual-boot instruction !!!!**help**

Hi everyone,

What-i-had:
I have an 80Gig HD and initially i had two partition on it (C:for WinXP
and D:for just general data). Then i decided to install W2K Pro on it.
So, i did a partition (using Magic Partition) of 20Gig on 'D:'. This
partition was created as "primarly" so it moved all the data (like WinXp,
and old D-dirve data) 20gig down from the 0 sector of the HD.

Basically, now the HD layout looks as follows:

W2kPro ----20gigi gap--- | WinXP | D: data drive

Issue:

As insane as it might sounds, i would like to create a dual-boot menu (if
possible). I am not sure how to do this since the WinXP boot info is 20gig
down into the HD. Do i need to re-install the W2k pro...then i am afraid
that i won't get access to XP!!! Also, i tried to edit boot.ini in W2Kpro
but it won't let me edit anything.

******* Any suggestion, comments, relative info ********* HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP

thank you so much for reading it and replying!!!
Bye.

Your post is not all that clear about what you have, where
it is and how it got there. Please provide or confirm these
details:
- Drive C: WinXP (installed in c:\Windows, and operating OK)
- Drive ?: Win2000 (installed in c:\WinNT?, and operating?)
(or is it in a hidden partition, or on drive D:?)
- Drive D: Data

You can certainly dual-boot between WinXP and Win2000
but you need to plan ahead.
