W2K Pro Setup hangs/Monitor goes blank

I am trying to install a fresh copy of Windows 2000
Professional on my hard drive that previously had the
very same OS operating on it. I have deleted all
partions and am attempting to reformat the drive. During
setup and the formatting routine, the video screen goes
blank and the signal is lost. It appears that the
formatting is halted as well. I replaced the video card
and still get the same problem. I then changed hard
drives and still got the problem. I try over and over,
and each time the video signal is lost (it stops at
various percentages of completion). The old and new AGP
video cards appear to be fine (tested in another
computer). I even borrowed a friends W2K pro disc to
install on my machine but the exact same thing happens.
My motherboard is a Supermicro p4STA and I've changed
Bios settings to every possible option, but I still get
the same problem. I've also used another monitor and
yep, same result. I'm at a loss. Any ideas out there?
