w2k pro cant shutdown

Hi! everybody,

My w2kpro can't shutdown when I select shutdown. The
screen goes blue or sometimes black with blinked cursor
but the power still on(and the cpu fan still on). The bios
setting is right and bios ACPI setting is S3(save power,
S2 consume more power). I don't see ACPI tab on power
panel but UPS. The w2kpro can completely shutdown before.
The motherboard is Intel P4. The power control panel
setting is right. I don't see sp2 on the w2k CD. If the
sp2 is install with w2k why the system info show just w2k.
Please any advice.

Does the machine shut down in safe mode properly? If so, you most likely
have an issue with a third party application not terminating properly.
