W2K Domain Migration - Need to Change Domain Name

For some silly political reason I am going to be responsible for changing
the name of our Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain. I know, not an easy
task. We're in Native Mode so I can't do the demotion thing. We're running
Exchange so from what I understand, you can't rename a domain in 2K3 with
Exchange(right?).

I'm thinking about building another domain(with a 2-way trust) with the name
that they want. Then perhaps using the migration tool to transfer all
user/computer accounts to the new domain, etc, etc. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Links? Ideas? Just looking for some guidance.
