VX2.BetterInternet

Joe

I have been trying to help someone with a problem that I don't seem to be
able to resolve.

The problem is that something called VX2.BetterInternet has installed on her
system and seems to resist all efforts to clean it. She is running WindowsME
but as this also seems to install on XP I was hoping someone here could
assist please.

I've cleaned this off of lots pcs. It's a tough one to
remove but can be done. I usually start with Spybot Search
and Destroy and then use another program called Pest
Patrol to remove the rest. If you do not want to invest in
the Pest Patrol program, they have instructions on
removing vx2.betterinternet manually (which I have had to
do on some occasions in addition to using the programs).
The trick is to kill the running processes before
attempting to remove it from a pc.
Here's the link to more info on betterinternet:

Good Luck,

SpyBot and or Ad-aware should be able to do away with the pest,
if no joy, run HijackThis, FAQ and download on that.

G'day Silja, where's ya bin mate?????

Thanks to all who responded, the matter has been taken over by the ' Experts
' on the particular group where I have been trying to help.

I will keep the information and give it to her if she needs it after the '
Experts' have finished, and somehow I think that it will be required.

Thanks again everyone.
