VX-1000 webcam - software not loading

I just got the vx-1000 lifecam. I was using service pack 1 so as the software
instructed me, I got the update it refferred me to, then I uploading the
software to my pc, no problems. I connected the webcam in as told and opened
the software but everytime i try it says program error and comes up with
sending error message e.t.c.

I've tryed restarting the pc and trying software with the device connected
and not connected, I don't understand why it wont load. So then I thought I'd
uninstall it an reinstall it but there is no option under lifecam in the
toolbar to uninstall and when i click add or remove programs, the lifecam
software isn't on the list.

Can anyone help please?
