VPNs continually drop and struggle to reconnect

Gordon,

I have a similar problem. I have only the one W2k Small
Business Server, with several clients connecting to it
remotely over VPN. Every now and then, and for no
apparent reason, the connections drop and the users have
to reconnect once they have become aware of the dropped
connection. It sounds quite similar to your own problem.

I'd really appreciate it if you could keep me informed
with any resolution you come across.

I see a similar problem with client VPN connections from
ADSL and sometimes cable connections. We resolve the
problem by tuning the MTU of the tunnel.

Are you seeing this problem with client VPN's, point to
point VPN's or both?
