I am trying to setup a Windows 2000 Server based VPN on my
network I am having trouble though getting the connection
right with my Cisco Pix Firewall version 515E. Can anyone
help me.

Not really enough info here to give you much help. Have you configured
the server to accept remote access clients? Can you make a VPN connection
from a LAN client?

If you are using PPTP, you need to forward tcp port 1723 from the
firewall to the server and make the VPN connection to the firewall's public
IP. You also need to permit GRE in both directions on the firewall, because
the VPN data travels as the data of packets with GRE headers.

Hi William,

I also try to connect w2k with a PIX (PIX501). I have
already a connection but I can not ping through the VPN.
May be we can work together intersted.
