VPN Working but 0 traffic at log?!?

Mike

I have on problem at my VPN log, i don´t konw if it is just one log problem
or there are some other problems hidden.

I look it up at microsoft.com, google ... but get not
answer. I would apreciate very much any idea about this

I have a win 2k VPN Server. This server is at Domain.

I have no problem having VPN connections (PPTP) but if i look at VPN log or
Event Viewer-Sistem-Remote Access for some user it says:

"0 bytes send 0m bytes received"

After been connected for 4 hours and done many things (= traffic)

how can that be possible???

Here is the event:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: RemoteAccess
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20048
Date: 7/13/2004
Time: 5:06:02 PM
User: N/A
Computer: VPN
Description:
The user SECURITAS\pepe connected on port VPN3-127 on 07/13/2004 at 05:05pm
and disconnected on 07/13/2004 at 09:06pm. The user was active for 4 hours
0 minutes 32 seconds. 0 bytes were sent and 0 bytes were received. The port
speed was 10000000. The reason for disconnecting was user request.

Many thanks

I can't answer your question but I would not worry about it if everything is
working fine. It is not unusual to find some head scratchers in the
security/system/application logs. You have to wonder how the server could
acknowledge that the user requested a disconnect if there was never any
traffic that session unless it was for the idle period specified to initiate
disconnect in the user VPN connectoid properties or via Remote Access Policy
perhaps? --- Steve
