VPN with two VPN routers

I know this is gonna be a dumb question but If I have two Netgear FVS318 ROuters that have a tunnel established between them, there no need for any VPN client/server software right
THe fact that they are connected means they are simply an extention of my corporate LAN right

Sorry but I had to ask

Hi, Jesse -

If both sides of the VPN are connected to trusted
networks - and only to trusted networks there's no reason
for an additional VPN client.

But - if the machine using the tunnel between routers is
also connected to the Internet you've created a bridge
between the untrusted Internet and the trusted networks -
and a pretty big security hole.

Hope this helps -
